Amanda Gorman recited her poem "Chorus of the Captains" during the Super Bowl LV pre-show on Sunday, right ahead of the big game. Amanda's pre-recorded performance honored three American heroes amid the COVID pandemic: a teacher, a Marine veteran, and a Tampa nurse. She certainly wore the most majestic outfit for this moment: an icy blue, textured leather trench with rhinestone embellishments on the lapels of the collar. The Moschino jacket had a metallic sheen, which played up the pearls on her headband - a hair accessory that is certainly becoming her signature after having worn an ornate crown for her cover of Time magazine and a red Prada headband at the presidential inauguration. She finished her Super Bowl look with silver hoop earrings.
Amanda has cemented her place in the fashion world, already having signed with IMG Models for her industry ventures, and maintaining her position as a respectable muse of Miuccia Prada's. It should come as no surprise that her Super Bowl look, styled by Jason Bolden, was right on the money - regal, yet playful; impactful, yet light, as if to say, "why, of course poetry should be a part of this moment where we have gathered to honor those on the frontlines, and I'll wear a damn good outfit to show up for them!" Watch Gorman's poem above, then enjoy a few angles of her look in the slideshow ahead.
