Louis Vuitton has announced K-pop icons BTS as house ambassadors. With multiplatinum singles and albums, it makes sense that Louis Vuitton would want to appeal to the group's massive audience. The group is clearly fans of the brand as they were seen at the Louis Vuitton Men's runway show earlier in January and then also wore matching suits from the luxury brand to the 2021 Grammy Awards this year. Louis Vuitton isn't the only luxury brand tapping into the K-pop demographic: Tiffany & Co. recently announced a campaign featuring Blackpink's Rosé.
Louis Vuitton's Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh and BTS shared their creative vision and ideas in a press release: "I am delighted BTS are joining Louis Vuitton today. I am looking forward to this wonderful partnership which adds a modern chapter to the House, merging luxury and contemporary culture. I can't wait to share all the very exciting projects we are working on," Virgil Abloh said. "Becoming global brand ambassadors for Louis Vuitton is a truly exciting moment for us. We are excited for our upcoming projects with Virgil Abloh," BTS added in the statement. Here's to seeing the group in more LV pieces!
